Was there a serial or a movie about it? I can’t imagine how people in the EU would know about that stuff (unless interested in the matter for specific reasons)

Because its in the news everywhere?? Just google “deutsch roe v wade” and you’ll see so many newsarticles about it. Genuinely the minutiae of us politics, government shutdowns etc. get widespread coverage in tagesschau, spiegel, focus etc.

Because we’re a vassal state, so any major changes in the upper echelons of the empire will affect us, including all the “culture wars”, such as the war on trans kids, womens rights etc. that get imported.

I don’t think so. We imported Halloween and lots of movies, but bigotry is 100% original. After all, aren’t the biggest bigots all right wing nationalist proposing a true European nazi-fascist model?

A lot of the nazis especially in eastern europe got or still get funded by the cia because of their staunch anticommunism via gladio operations. Thats not to blame the empire for the bigotry of the average european but a lot of the fascist orgs get material support from seppoland.

The same happened with communist parties funded by URSS at the time, and it is still happening with some parties openly supporting Putin.

In the end the blame goes to thee people for being so gullible to vote for parties that do the interests of foreign powers. US, Russia, (China?), doesn’t really matter.

No, the ussr did not fund paramilitary nazi groups formed from the remnants of former SS troops, or anything similar.

They always funded European left-wing parties at least until the fall of URSS. There were even cultural exchanges with European politicians going to Moscow. It was never a secret! The same thing is still happening today with some parties openly pro-Putin (at least until the invasion of Ukraine).
