I have to buy older cars. I wish there was a car company making new cars that were older fashioned. Or I wish cars were simplistic enough to DIY.

What communities are there on Revolt? Anything big? Like GrapheneOS, Linux Mint, Signal, Monero?
I know that Matrix has their communities.
I’m interested in the day it hits the Linux Desktop, but being even on iOS is crazy imo.
It’s decentralized, which therefore makes it harder than even Session.
I find that interesting, as there should be ways to only use email.
I’d say your IP or DNS is freaking them out. Sometimes when you have really good opsec on a browser, they can tell and will ask for weird shit like that.
I’d use a different browser, like maybe download Brave or Chromium or Librewolf (leave it out of the box) specifically for this stuff, assuming you use FireFox.
You can also download 3rd party clients for Facebook on Android, Insta is kinda a lost cause tho.
Edit: It’s not on F-Droid, you gotta hop on Github, but there is a client for Discord known as Aliucord on Android.
Wanna go crazy? Use SimpleXchat
Outlaw and hated one, sometimes rossman.
I like Luke, but watched for his opinions in things honestly.
More of shock value of them announcing it and requiring an email now.
So more for privacy than security, so it would make sense to use a VPN depending on your threat model I suppose, or how much you care.
For me, it’s more about consent, they really just did that, tf?
I’d talk to a counselor about it and explain how it makes you feel uncomfortable.
Shut up hivemind conformist
I have all of their apps on a separate profile. One app I do sadly need data for to check my schedule and look up prices of things.
So if https is all that’s needed, why do VPNs recommend using them at public locations? Just false advertising? I click on my bank app and it always wants a password and I guess I don’t know enough about network engineering. I’m interested in Android Development but don’t know much about WiFi I guess.
Public WiFi would make me skeptical when I always put in my passwords.
I’m just saying do what you think looks good instead of what other people tell you. If you like that rice, don’t let someone not liking it change your opinion.
Obviously it’s not something you can get up and do but it’s something I’d plan out.
Time to turn to glass instead of plastic
Yk, I’ll play devils advocate and say that I see the good in this. People with disabilities will finally be able to do things.
But, governments will definitely love this. And the proprietary technology would definitely be spying on people, no surprise there.
I’m really afraid it could become a mandate to get in the future (gotta learn how to survive in the woods.)
So overall, it has good potential but would definitely be used for harm. I think it’s a net negative.
