What distro are you using? JF recommends Ubuntu.
FWIW, I found TechHut’s Jellyfin YouTube tutorials super easy to follow when I was just starting out. He also has a video on FStab which you might eventually find handy. I haven’t watched this stuff in long time though so it might be outdated. https://www.youtube.com/c/TechHutHD

It doesn’t matter if you’re doing OSS or looking for venture capital, you need to sell your project/product to users. In an OSS project, prospective users need to understand why they should invest their time. You always need an elevator pitch or one liner. In github, the elevator pitch is the “About” section on the right hand side of the page (on desktop).
If you want to see what a good sales job looks like for Open Source, check out hoarder. It’s one of the best I’ve seen and certainly one of the main reasons it has received over 13 thousand stars in about one year.
Most of us started with the TRaSH Guides.
Also it’s not Linux or Windows; it’s Docker (which works on both Linux and Windows).
Also check out YouTube. There are a lot of great tutorials on there.
You can use yt-dlp to download just the audio stream. After you install it, open your terminal and run:

I’m an American. Native English speaker. The subtitles are 10/10 for The Bureau. It just depends on if your friends like to watch shows that are subtitled.
Question about browsers: Do you have a preference of Firefox, Fennec or Iceraven?
Thanks for the tip about Web Archives. I’ll put that on for sure. Was considering sideloading Bypass Paywalls Clean and they mentioned Iceraven, which I had never heard of.

The apps are different on iOS bc of apple’s walled garden. For example, NewPipe (in the other comment) is a music app on iOS and I didn’t know about it before. The browser is locked to Safari or skins of safari, so extensions are pretty limited. Graphene gives a lot more options so I’m looking for those RE: piracy.
Rather than focusing on where to look, better to focus on how to download. Automation is your friend. There is software (like the *arrs) which automate the downloading of content from multiple locations online.

I’ve never had a problem with makemkv. I use it for everything. Even paid for a license lol.
How did you get Spotify auth to work? I’ve tried a number of things and can’t get zotify to get past authentication failure.
What type(s) of file did you download? How many files are there?
Readarr is not good at all imo. Radarr and Sonarr are great. Lidarr and Readarr are meh.
