Just Japan doing Japan things.

I added a bunch of insulation to my attic and that quieted things down. I think a lot of the sound was coming in the soffit vents and then through the ceiling of the room instead of the walls themselves.

My guess is lawn mowers at the crack of dawn. That’s mostly the noise I wake up to. Gotta beat the heat…

My high school all the analog clocks attached to a big box that had the intercom in it. The clocks were all synchronized remotely through that system school wide. So no need for batteries. We did have digital clocks at the ends of most hallways. I’d imagine because they’re just physically smaller and less ambiguity for when 1 minute matters before a bell in between classes.

That is a toaster oven right next to it too…

I’m glad I’m not the only one that remembers scenes from this terrible movie. This was the first thing that came to mind.
