I fullheartedly agree… My mbin servers have been targeted multiple times by stupid AI scraper bots and even google didn’t adhere to the request limit set in the robots.txt…

I decided to upgrade, and so far everything is working fine. I had some hiccups after the installation, but a reboot fixed all of them. Thanks for your input :)

Are you using KDE or Gnome?

I definitely don’t want to deal with that. Last time that happened I had to do a clean install which is just pain imo XD

what does depmod -a do?

i installes forge (gnome tiling manager) and that had an option for it

Fedora 38, one year ago. I am on 39 now and had to do a reinstall. It has its problems, a lot of problems actually, but is still miles better than windows in my opinion

Solution: the RPM Fedora version did work, the version from Flathub or the Fedora flatpack repo did not work. I guess the flatpack versions don’t have the most recent xfreerdp version? I don’t really know…

using xfreerdp directly did work. Now I just have to find out how to get this working with remmina again, so the UX is not that bad…
