While it has what can be considered a use case, to increase your visibility in the dark. However it’s a terrible solution. Instead wear a high-vis reflective vest, and/or wear some kind of clip-on lights. I’ve got a high-power clip-on flashlight that I put on my belt for when I have to walk into our dark-ass parking lot, or otherwise need to see where I’m going and don’t want to risk getting run over.

Even more fun with knee high stockings, a short skirt, and a bikini top. Better if you identify as cis male

Police departments should make it part of the uniform. Because when a foot pursuit ensues, they are flashing red & blue on their own heels.

They were in an X-Files episode where someone was robbed/killed for them. S6E10, “Tithonus”. But, yeah, fad didn’t last long because they quickly became a bit of a “what a loser” item, even for us that were kids at the time.

I remember a few reports of “criminals” having them on and trying to run away from the police. Might have been on “Cops” once or twice, even.

If we’re going down this rabbit hole, shoes with lights is pretty far down on the list of child-oriented products that should be made for adults.

    Other potential entries include:

    • Clothes with dinosaur/unicorn/etc designs
    • Bouncy castles
    • Bedding and sheets with fun prints
    • Inflatable dinosaur costumes (we figured this one out already)

Snow boots that change color in the cold. I had those as a toddler and they were the coolest things ever.

I’ve been in a bouncy castle with kids and alone. It sucked and I was very tired.

Maybe if there were some full-size humans bouncing they would bounce me around too instead of me launching kids onto the roof.

Saw a kids sweater with a fuzzy dinosaur on it recently. Thought it would be amazing as an adult sweater. But of course it would cost $400 if it existed

Bedding and sheets with fun prints

      • Technically there’s no one and nothing stopping you from buying Pokemon bedding, for example.

      Clothes with dinosaur/unicorn/etc designs

      • Also, cute clothes have been trendy since MLP:FiM at the earliest.

But you can get most of those things already. Shirts can be ordered with custom prints. You can rent (or buy) a bouncy castle and put it in your backyard. Beddings and sheets I get, because you can probably only find them in twin sizes.

Light-up shoes in adult sizes on the other hand are nearly impossible to find, or are pretty expensive if you find one.

It is, there used to be a place around me that catered to adults for bouncy inflatable things.

$10 and some mushrooms and it was an amazing time.

I swear some older folks with demetia had them because their families got it for them. I mean maybe they just fit a large kids size or something.

Yes. With rechargeable batteries, or some obvious way to change the batteries.

Do be certain to advertise them here, so that I am aware these are even for sale. Or take preorders for my shoe size. (Why in the hell is everything NOT a preorder these days?)

There are some with illuminated soles.
    They just arent blinky.

Oh and they are most likely to be found in specialty shops or online.
