You forgot the ultimate hobby of lawn care. I swear it is what is keeping my old neighbors alive and they live for it.
Mine needs more clover and native wildflowers. It has some already, it just needs more. Meadow grass mix of some kind, hopefully grows deeper roots.
My lawn can parch and die, but I love my sensory, moss, pollinator, assorted sedum, shade, and herb gardens.
